The U13 Hammerheads were originally formed as HSC's top U9 team for the Spring 2007 season. They compete in leagues and tournaments within the Tri-State area and Maryland.
The Hammerheads have been competing at the high levels of the highly competitive Delco league against teams from Southeastern PA and Maryland during the Fall. After a short break in Winter, indoor training opportunities are offered. During the Spring seasons, we compete in regional tournaments and the most competitive leagues available to us. During the summer, the Hammerheads continue to train and play tournaments.
Over the years, the Hammerheads have experienced a healthy level of success, having been the champions of Delco Division 2 at the U10 level, finalists in Delco Division 1 at the U11 level, and champions of the top bracket of the Pennsylvania Council Rock League in Spring 2010. During 2009-2010, the Hammerheads were particularly successful in tournament play, winning three tournaments, including tournaments in Maryland (Amanda Post Memorial March Mania Tournament), Pennsylvania (Spirit United Kickoff Classic), and New Jersey (MAPS Caps Classic).
The Hammerheads are coached by Leo Strine (USSF National D License) and trained by Justin Romano (Assistant Head Coach, Salesianum HS; USSF National C License, four year Division I starter, University of Delaware).
